Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 Eyes Top 3 Spot with Impressive Weekend Collections
May 04, 2025: Ajay Devgn is in top form with Raid 2, as the film storms through the box office with a strong collection of ₹51.31 crore in just three days. Portraying IRS officer Amay Pattnaik once again, the superstar has clearly struck a chord with audiences. With Sunday’s figures still pending, the film is poised to climb even higher on the charts.
On Track to Dethrone Sky Force
Currently, Sky Force holds the third spot in the list of highest opening weekends of 2025 with ₹73.20 crore. For Raid 2 to surpass it, it needs to earn just ₹16.80 crore more on Sunday — a figure that seems within reach given the current momentum.
Stronger Than The Original
The sequel has already outperformed the first Raid, which earned ₹41.01 crore in its opening weekend. With a potential Sunday boost, Raid 2 could end up delivering 80% higher collections than its predecessor — a remarkable achievement for a sequel.
Top 5 Opening Weekends of 2025 (Hindi Cinema):
Chhaava – ₹121.43 crore
Sikandar – ₹86.40 crore
Sky Force – ₹73.20 crore
Raid 2 – ₹51.31 crore*
Jaat – ₹40.62 crore (4-day weekend)
(*As of Saturday; Sunday numbers pending)
With Sunday yet to be counted, Raid 2 is already the fourth highest opening weekend of the year and could break into the top 3, dethroning Sky Force. Devgn’s gritty performance, gripping storyline, and high-octane drama are clearly drawing in the crowds.
