Ajaz Khan Booked for Rape, Goes Incommunicado as Police Launch Search
Mumbai, May 6: Actor Ajaz Khan has been booked for alleged rape following a complaint filed by an actress at Charkop Police Station, Mumbai. The Mumbai Police confirmed that Khan has been untraceable since the FIR was filed, with his phone switched off and no contact established.
“Case registered at Charkop Police Station against actor Ajaz Khan for allegedly raping an actress. Police attempted to contact him, but his number remains switched off. He was not found at his residence, and efforts to trace him are ongoing,” a senior police official stated.
This is not the first time Ajaz Khan has courted controversy. He is also under investigation in a separate matter linked to the Ullu app’s reality show ‘House Arrest’, which he hosts. The Amboli Police recently summoned Khan and the platform’s owner after receiving complaints that the show promotes obscene content.
The uproar was triggered by a viral clip from the show, which premiered on April 11, 2025, and is described as an uncensored take on captive reality shows like Bigg Boss and Lock Upp. The format features 12 contestants—nine women and three men—locked in a luxury villa, engaging in provocative tasks.
The show has drawn criticism from political and social groups alike, with calls for its ban and government intervention over its allegedly vulgar content.
Ajaz Khan’s disappearance following the rape allegation and his association with a controversial OTT show have intensified scrutiny, as both legal and public pressure mount.
