According to a Thanthi TV report, the theatre had installed decorative disco lights and other fixtures to enhance the celebratory atmosphere around the film’s release. However, one of the hanging lights came loose mid-show, startling viewers as it dropped near a child. The screening was immediately stopped.
The child reportedly began crying loudly, prompting concerned family members to confront the theatre management. Tensions escalated as relatives demanded accountability, questioning what might have happened if the light had hit the child directly.
Police arrived shortly after and mediated the situation. After a 30-minute pause and a verbal agreement between both parties, the screening resumed.
