June 9, 2025: Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is back in action with Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, the much-awaited sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, this marks their powerful fourth collaboration. The teaser, unveiled on June 9 to mark Balakrishna’s birthday, promises an intense blend of spiritual symbolism and high-octane action.

The teaser showcases Balakrishna in a blazing new avatar, with visually striking scenes — including a majestic Trishul flanked by Nandi statues amidst snow-covered peaks reminiscent of Mount Kailash. The action-packed sequences and mythological references suggest another crowd-pleaser steeped in grandeur and devotion.

Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner and presented by M Tejeswini Nandamuri, the film features Samyuktha and Aadhi Pinisetty (as the villain) alongside Balayya. The teaser also hints at the signature Boyapati style — mass appeal, elevated heroism, and explosive drama.

Choreographed by Ram-Lakshman, the action scenes combine intensity with spiritual flair. Thaman S, who composed for the original, returns to amplify the drama with his dynamic background score. Key sequences are being shot in Georgia, including a major action block.

The film’s visuals are handled by cinematographers C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detake, with editing by Tammiraju. Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is slated for a September 25 release, just ahead of Dussehra.

Balakrishna was last seen in the box-office hit Daaku Maharaj, which grossed over ₹125 crore worldwide, cementing his status as a mass hero. With Akhanda 2, fans can expect another spiritual-action spectacle.
