Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan’s Soulful ‘Khudaya’ from ‘Sarfira’ Released

The anticipation for the upcoming film ‘Sarfira,’ starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, has reached new heights with the release of its soulful new track ‘Khudaya.’ This evocative qawwali explores the complexities of love and relationships, highlighting the captivating chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan.

Akshay Kumar shared the song video on Instagram, treating fans to a glimpse of this emotional journey. He captioned the post, “For the love that stands by every Sarfira…#Khudaya song out now! Link in bio. #Sarfira landing in cinemas on 12th July, 2024.”

The video opens with a tense argument between Akshay’s character, Vir Mhatre, and his wife, played by Radhika, on their terrace. In a moment of frustration, Vir asks his wife to leave if she finds him disappointing. The scene then shifts to Vir’s desperate search for Radhika, fearing he has lost her. However, he finds her at home, and the reunion is marked by an emotional breakdown.

“Khudaya,” sung by Suhit Abhyankar, Sagar Bhatia, and Neeti Mohan, and composed by Suhit Abhyankar, brings a refreshing return of qawwali to the cinematic landscape. The song offers a deep dive into the emotional and narrative richness of ‘Sarfira.’

Neeti Mohan shared her experience, saying, “Singing ‘Khudaya’ has been an incredibly moving experience for me. The song’s poignant lyrics and beautiful melody truly capture the essence of enduring love. I’m excited for everyone to feel the emotions we’ve poured into this qawwali.”

Directed by national award winner Sudha Kongara, known for her critically acclaimed works like ‘Irudhi Suttru’ and ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ ‘Sarfira’ promises to deliver a compelling narrative set against the backdrop of India’s startup culture and aviation industry.

The recently released trailer showcases Akshay Kumar in a captivating role as an underdog determined to break socio-economic barriers and make flying accessible to all. His performance has garnered praise, with director Suriya, who makes a guest appearance in the film, expressing his admiration for Akshay Kumar’s dedication to bringing this inspiring story to life.

“Sarfira is not just a film; it’s an ode to the dreams that keep us awake,” remarked Akshay Kumar in an Instagram post unveiling the trailer.

The narrative follows Vir Mhatre’s journey from debt-ridden beginnings to visionary entrepreneurship, navigating obstacles with resilience and innovation. ‘Sarfira’ features a stellar cast including Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas alongside Akshay Kumar.

Scheduled for release on July 12, 2024, ‘Sarfira’ is set to inspire audiences with its powerful story and memorable performances.
