Akshay Kumar Breaks Down After Paresh Rawal’s Shocking Exit from Hera Pheri 3, Reveals Director Priyadarshan

May 22, 2025: In a shocking turn of events, veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit from Hera Pheri 3 has not only stunned fans but also left a deep emotional impact on his co-stars, especially Akshay Kumar. While the actor didn’t offer a clear reason for his departure, reports suggested he “did not feel like” continuing with the cult franchise.

Now, director Priyadarshan, who was set to helm the film with the iconic trio of Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, has finally spoken out — and the behind-the-scenes drama is more emotional than anyone expected.

In an interview, Priyadarshan revealed that all three actors had already signed contracts and even shot a teaser scene together. “All our contracts were signed. Ten days ago, Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh shot a scene and the IPL teaser. It was only after we unanimously agreed to do Hera Pheri 3 that Akshay bought the franchise rights,” he said.

But the director also shared a deeply personal moment with Akshay following Rawal’s unexpected decision. “Akshay had tears in his eyes when he asked me, ‘Priyan, why is Paresh doing this to us?’” the filmmaker revealed. “Akshay shouldn’t suffer financial losses because Paresh walked out on a whim. I understand that he will have to take whatever action is required.”

Reports now suggest that Akshay Kumar is preparing legal action, potentially suing Paresh Rawal for ₹25 crore. While some sources speculated that Rawal walked out due to his role being less prominent, the actor has denied any creative conflicts. Supporting him, Priyadarshan added, “With me, Akshay has never cut down anybody’s roles. He does not interfere with a director’s vision at all.”

The emotional blow has also hit Suniel Shetty, who revealed he was “charged” for the film and felt heartbroken by Paresh’s exit. Shetty, however, remains hopeful, as Rawal has agreed to meet him soon for a one-on-one discussion.

Priyadarshan expressed disappointment over how Rawal chose to handle the situation. “He could have picked up the phone and told me before telling the media because we’ve been friends for years,” he said, highlighting the personal sting of the decision.

As fans anxiously await clarity, one thing is certain: Hera Pheri 3, once a highly anticipated reunion of one of Bollywood’s most loved comedy trios, now finds itself in deep uncertainty — both emotionally and legally.
