Akshay Kumar Finally Reacts to Paresh Rawal’s Exit From Hera Pheri 3: Here’s What He Said!

May 27, 2025: After weeks of mounting speculation and online buzz, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has finally addressed the controversy surrounding Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit from the much-anticipated film Hera Pheri 3. The film, which marks the third installment in the iconic comedy franchise, has hit a major roadblock after Rawal’s departure triggered industry-wide concern and confusion among fans.

Speaking at the trailer launch of Housefull 5, Akshay was asked directly about the fallout with his longtime co-star. In a video posted by Bollywood Hungama, the actor responded with a calm but firm statement.

“I’ve worked with Paresh ji for over 30 years. He’s a great actor and a good friend. I won’t talk about the issue here because it’s now a serious legal matter and will be handled in court,” said Akshay.

He also took issue with the journalist’s choice of words during the question, saying, “Using derogatory terms for a respected co-star is not acceptable. Please be careful.”

Behind the Exit: Rawal’s Legal Concerns

Earlier this year, Paresh Rawal’s legal team from Anand & Naik spoke out, citing that the veteran actor had not received a full agreement or script for Hera Pheri 3 despite being asked to sign a term sheet during the filming of another project, Bhoot Bangla. According to sources close to the actor, Akshay had reportedly assured him that the full details would come later.

“Akshay told him, ‘Don’t worry, trust me. You’ll see it later in the long-form agreement.’ Based on their personal rapport, Paresh ji signed the term sheet,” said an insider.

However, when Rawal followed up before shooting a promotional video for the film, he allegedly received no further information. Disappointed with the lack of clarity, he chose to step away from the project.

Will the Film Go On Without Him?

The future of Hera Pheri 3 remains uncertain. The franchise, which also stars Suniel Shetty, is beloved for the trio’s chemistry. Fans have taken to social media expressing their disappointment and demanding Rawal’s return. However, until a resolution is reached—either through court or negotiation—his involvement remains in limbo.

With the third film’s production reportedly scheduled to begin in 2026, there’s still time for reconciliation. But as of now, Akshay and Paresh Rawal appear to be at a professional impasse.
