Actor confirms teaser release as Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy gears up for April 2026 premiere
March 11, 2026: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has revealed another look from his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla while confirming that the teaser will be released tomorrow. Sharing a short 16-second clip on X, the actor wrote, “Just hangin’ around till the Bhooth Bangla teaser drops tomorrow! Bhooth Bangla in cinemas on April 10, 2026.” In the clip, Kumar appears in a quirky avatar, hanging from a tree branch like a bat with a spooky mansion and bright moon visible in the background.
The horror-comedy is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Kumar’s banner Cape of Good Films along with Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures. The film features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav. It also marks Priyadarshan’s return to the horror-comedy genre after directing Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 10, 2026, after its earlier release date of May 15 was advanced. While the makers have not officially announced the digital premiere date, the film is expected to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run, while Zee Cinema has secured the satellite television rights.
