Akshay Kumar Welcomes Tabu With A Warm Hug On The Sets Of ‘Bhooth Bangla’

January 15, 2025: Priyadarshan’s upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla is creating a lot of buzz among movie lovers, especially those who are fond of 90s and early 2000s Hindi films. The movie marks the reunion of director Priyadarshan and actor Akshay Kumar after a long gap, which is exciting for fans who remember their successful collaborations in films like Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag, Garam Masala, De Dana Dan, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. This reunion is set to bring back a nostalgic charm to the big screen.

In addition to the Priyadarshan-Akshay reunion, Bhooth Bangla also brings Akshay Kumar and actress Tabu together after 25 years. Their chemistry in Hera Pheri was beloved by audiences, and their reunion is expected to be one of the highlights of the film. A picture from the sets, showing Tabu and Akshay sharing a warm hug, recently surfaced online, fueling anticipation.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R. Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, alongside Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla is slated for release on April 2, 2026. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, who has been a consistent collaborator in Priyadarshan’s films, adding to the excitement surrounding the project. Akshay Kumar recently shared a video from the sets of the film, where he and Paresh Rawal are seen celebrating Makar Sankranti by flying kites, giving fans a glimpse of the camaraderie between the actors.

Additionally, Wamiqa Gabbi is reportedly part of the film, though details about her character and other aspects of the plot are being kept under wraps. Filming is currently taking place in Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is preparing for the release of his action-packed film Sky Force, which will release on January 24, 2025, just ahead of Republic Day. In this high-stakes thriller, Akshay plays an Indian Air Force officer on a revenge mission after losing fellow soldiers. During the trailer launch, Akshay revealed his personal connection to the armed forces, sharing how his father was in the army and how wearing a uniform brings him strength. Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force promises to be a thrilling ride.
