An old video of Akshaye Khanna dancing to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Chaiyya Chaiyya has resurfaced online, earning him widespread praise for his dance skills. In the video, shared on Reddit, Akshaye performs alongside Twinkle Khanna at an award event. While Twinkle dazzled in a golden lehenga, Akshaye kept it casual in a black blazer, trousers, matching T-shirt, and cap.
Fans flooded social media with admiration, calling him an “underrated dancer” and praising his effortless style. Comments ranged from “Akshaye dances so well” to playful jokes like “Rehman Dakait in college days.” Many also celebrated him as a true megastar.
The performance was choreographed by Farah Khan, originally part of the hit song from the 1998 film Dil Se, composed by A.R. Rahman, written by Gulzar, and sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi.
Akshaye Khanna has had a stellar 2025, beginning the year with Chhaava and ending it with Dhurandhar, in which he played Pakistani gangster Rehman Dakait. Dhurandhar became an all-time blockbuster, collecting ₹1,000 crore in India and over ₹1,300 crore worldwide.
Next, Akshaye will make his Telugu debut in the film Mahakali, directed by Puja Kolluru, where he will portray Shukracharya. The release date is yet to be announced.
