The iconic actor Al Pacino has officially joined the cast of Maserati: The Brothers, a cinematic chronicle of the famed Maserati family’s rise to prominence in the world of luxury automobiles. The announcement, made Thursday during the Cannes Film Festival, confirms Pacino’s role as Vincenzo Vaccaro, a visionary businessman and early supporter of the Maserati brothers.
Directed by Oscar-winner Bobby Moresco, the film enters its second and final phase of shooting in Rome this June, with a fall 2025 release targeted by producers.
Joining Pacino are newly announced cast members Gina La Piana and Tatiana Luter. They will star alongside an already glittering lineup including Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, Michele Morrone, and Salvatore Esposito.
Producer Andrea Iervolino expressed enthusiasm over the latest addition to the ensemble:
“Al Pacino’s unparalleled talent and iconic presence bring a profound depth to our portrayal of this inspiring and emotional story. Having such a legendary figure join our already incredible cast is truly an honor.”
Executive producers Nicki Cortese and Wayne Marc Godfrey of Bright White Light echoed the sentiment:
“It is an honor to be part of the team bringing this iconic story to life. We can’t wait for audiences to experience an intimate look at the passion, ambition, and resilience that fueled one of Italy’s most iconic automotive dynasties.”
Maserati: The Brothers aims to blend historical drama with the human emotions behind one of the world’s most revered luxury brands, spotlighting not just innovation, but the family bonds and struggles that shaped it.
Pacino is represented by CAA and RMG. La Piana is repped by Eris Talent Agency, and Luter by Independent Artist Group.
With filming set against the cinematic backdrop of Rome and a powerhouse cast steering the story, Maserati: The Brothers is poised to be a compelling ride through automotive history.
