Alia Bhatt Gets Candid on Raha’s ‘Own Relationship with the Paparazzi’

The actress shared adorable updates from the Red Sea Film Festival, revealing her three-year-old daughter now asks where she is going and when she’s coming home.

December 11, 2025: Actress Alia Bhatt offered an adorable update on her daughter, Raha Kapoor, during her appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival, confirming that the three-year-old is now old enough to question her mother’s whereabouts and has developed a curious relationship with the media glare.

Alia, who was honored with the Golden Globe Horizon Award at the festival, got candid about balancing her global career with motherhood during a special retrospective session celebrating her cinematic journey.

“Raha Has Her Own Relationship with the Paparazzi”

Comparing her current visit to the last time she was at the festival, Alia highlighted how quickly her daughter is growing.

“The last time I was here, Raha was one and now she is three. Where are you, how far away, what are you bringing me when you come back,” Alia said, revealing her daughter’s growing inquisitiveness. She added, “Now, Raha has her own relationship with the paparazzi, and is old enough to ask me where I am going, and when I will be back.”

Alia, who welcomed Raha with actor Ranbir Kapoor in November 2022, also shared a glimpse into their family life, revealing that her priorities have completely shifted. She said that Raha now requests her to sing “this or that song” as her favorite lullaby.

“My priorities are my daughter and my family so I have to focus on what really matters,” Alia emphasized, noting that this focus guides her process of picking future projects.

Discussing the ‘Risk’ of Alpha

During the conversation, Alia also spoke about her upcoming role in Alpha, the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe. The high-octane action thriller, directed by Shiv Rawail, also stars Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol, and is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.

Alia acknowledged the challenging nature of the project given the franchise’s history of male-led blockbusters like Tiger, War, and Pathaan.

“Alpha is the first female-led action film from the YRF universe, so that’s also a risk, because you’ve not historically seen that perform in the same way that the other male-led films have performed,” she said, underscoring the groundbreaking ambition of the project.

The Golden Globe Horizon Award was presented to Alia to recognize her exceptional contributions to international cinema and her role in shaping the film industry across the Middle East and Asia.
