The actor was spotted at Mumbai airport early Friday morning, exuding effortless chic in a beige trench coat layered over a fitted white top, paired with baggy denim jeans and signature dark aviators. She flashed a brief smile at paparazzi before heading inside the terminal.
Alia’s appearance comes just days after reports emerged suggesting she was considering backing out of her Cannes debut due to rising geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. A report had claimed that Alia wanted to express solidarity with her country during these sensitive times.
However, Bhatt is now en route to the French Riviera, ready to represent India on the global stage. She shared a sneak peek of her travel essentials via Instagram Stories, featuring a stylish Gucci bag filled with books, beauty products, and a tote bag inscribed with the iconic slogan: “I’m worth it.” She captioned the image, “Off we go…”

Alia’s debut at the iconic festival is under the banner of L’Oréal Paris, joining long-time brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the event. The festival opened on May 13, and Alia is expected to walk the red carpet in the coming days.
Sharing her thoughts earlier, Alia said,
“There’s something absolutely special about firsts — and I’m so excited to make my Festival de Cannes debut this year, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression. It is such an honour to represent L’Oréal Paris at the Festival with this year’s theme, ‘Lights, Beauty and Action’. To me, beauty is about celebrating individuality, confidence and self-worth.”
Bhatt’s Cannes debut marks another milestone in her already illustrious career, and fans are eagerly awaiting her first red carpet appearance at the world’s most glamorous film festival.
