The actress was seen telling photographers, “Gate ke andar mat aaye. Aapka building nahi hai,” after they followed her inside a private residential compound.
August 15, 2025: A video of Bollywood starlet Alia Bhatt firmly facing photographers has gone viral on social media. This has brought up the issue of celebrity privacy and the limits of the media again. The event happened on Thursday when the actress was seen in Mumbai, but it took an unexpected turn when photographers followed her past the building’s gate and into private land.
In the popular video, Alia, who looked annoyed yet calm, spoke directly to the photographers and said, “Gate ke andar mat aaye.” Your building is not there. “Please go outside.” Do not enter the gate. This is not your place. Please go outside.
When the photographers didn’t go right away, she said, “Aap sunn nahi rahe ho,” which means “You aren’t listening.” Go outside. She pointed to the gate and told them to go. She thanked them only after they had left the gate and then closed it behind her. Her supporters and people on social media have widely supported her after the incident, praising her for standing up for what she believes in.
Earlier in the day, Alia was also seen with her mother, veteran actress Soni Razdan. They had just seen the movie War 2 at a local theater. There were also videos of her on social media playing pickleball that showed her having fun.
Alia Bhatt is going to be in two big movies that are coming out soon. She will be in Alpha, a movie in the YRF spy world, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly-anticipated Love & War, which also stars her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
