Alia Bhatt on Motherhood and Work: ‘Happy Doing One Film at a Time After Raha’s Birth’

Alia Bhatt has opened up about how motherhood has changed her approach to work, revealing that she now prefers a slower and more focused pace after welcoming her daughter Raha in 2022. In a recent interview, the actor said she is content doing one film at a time and no longer wants to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Speaking about the shift, Alia said, “Of course, the volume and the speed at which I work now are different because I have a child. But it’s a comfortable pace, and I’m happy with it. I like doing one film at a time and giving it all my energy. Earlier, I would do two or three films simultaneously, but I don’t want to do that anymore.”

Alia also reflected on returning to physically demanding work after becoming a mother. Talking about shooting for the action film Alpha, she shared, “Doing action after having a baby was very interesting because it allowed me to see what my body is capable of. It was such a learning experience, and it gave me a lot of respect for my body.”

The actor has often spoken fondly about Raha, describing her as “naughty and chatty” in previous interviews. Alia shares her daughter with husband Ranbir Kapoor and has said that motherhood has added a new perspective to both her personal and professional life.

On the work front, Alia has two major releases lined up. She will next be seen in Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail and part of the YRF Spy Universe, co-starring Sharvari and Bobby Deol, slated for release in 2026. She is also working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which features Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal and is expected to hit theatres in 2026.
