Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal praise Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’ trailer

Ever since the premiere of the trailer for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series ‘Heeramandi,’ accolades have been abundant for the renowned director. Actors Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, set to star in Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Love & War,’ also expressed their admiration for the series.

Vicky Kaushal praised the series on Instagram, commenting, “How stunning is this! The world building, the drama… top notch.” Similarly, Alia Bhatt shared her excitement, posting, “Uffff!!! Just magic!!!”

‘Heeramandi’ features a star-studded cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and others. The series, which launches on May 1, intertwines narratives of love, power, revenge, and freedom against the tumultuous backdrop of the 1940s Indian freedom struggle.

At the trailer release event, Fardeen Khan, marking his acting comeback after 14 years, expressed his gratitude for the role. He remarked on the profound character development that Bhansali brings to his projects, stating, “For me, this was something I have never done and it was the perfect role for me. At the age I am, to come back to the screen, you come with a certain amount of life experience, and wisdom and you know you can contribute to the layers that Sanjay writes into all his characters. His characters are very intricate and very complex. There’s nobody like him who writes characters. He goes across the spectrum of emotions, and he has this intuitive understanding of it. It’s daunting to work with him, but at the same time, when you see it all together, it just all makes sense. I’m extremely grateful for this chance and so happy to be here.”
