I’m delighted that this Women’s Day, audiences will have the chance to experience this beautiful film on the big screen once again.”
The film, which tells the story of a young woman named Veera (played by Alia Bhatt) who is abducted and embarks on a journey of self-discovery, has garnered immense praise for its themes of freedom, love, and societal constraints.
Randeep Hooda, who played the role of Mahabir Bhati, one of the abductors, also reflected on his experience working on the film. In a heartfelt message, he described Highway as a classic that portrays the journey of pure love, doomed by class divides. He expressed gratitude towards director Imtiaz Ali for giving him the space to truly “live the part” during filming.
