Alicia Silverstone Joins Star-Studded Cast Of Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘Bugonia’

October 18, 2024: Alicia Silverstone has officially joined the cast of Yorgos Lanthimos’ upcoming sci-fi film Bugonia, alongside Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons.

Silverstone, widely recognized for her iconic role as Cher in Clueless, previously worked with Lanthimos in his acclaimed 2017 psychological thriller The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

Bugonia follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who abduct a high-powered CEO, convinced she is an alien intent on destroying Earth. The screenplay is penned by Emmy winner Will Tracy and is inspired by the 2003 South Korean comedy Save the Green Planet.
