Hyderabad (Telangana), December 16: Actor Allu Arjun, recently released on interim bail after his arrest in connection with the Sandhya Theatre incident, has expressed deep concern for Sri Tej, the injured victim of the tragic event. The actor extended his prayers and assured support for the young boy’s medical needs.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Allu Arjun wrote:
“I remain deeply concerned about young Sri Tej, who is under constant medical care after the unfortunate incident. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have been advised not to visit him and his family at this time. My prayers remain with them, and I remain committed to taking responsibility for addressing the medical and family needs. I wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to meeting him and his family at the earliest.”
Allu Arjun, who was arrested on Friday following the tragic death of a woman and injury to her son during the December 4 premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule, was released on Saturday morning after securing interim bail with a bond of ₹50,000.
His release sparked a wave of solidarity from the film industry. Fellow actors Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya visited him at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad, offering warm hugs and words of encouragement. Surekha, wife of actor Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun’s aunt, also visited to show her support.
Actor Vijay Deverakonda and Pushpa 2 director Sukumar were seen engaging with Allu Arjun after his release, underscoring the actor’s standing in the industry.
The incident occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, where a large crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the superstar. The situation escalated when Allu Arjun waved to fans from the sunroof of his vehicle, leading to chaos. Tragically, a woman named Revathi lost her life, and her son Sri Tej sustained severe injuries.
The actor was initially sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a lower court, but his legal team successfully secured interim bail from the Telangana High Court.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s latest release, Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, continues to dominate the box office, breaking records and garnering acclaim.
Despite the ongoing legal challenges, Allu Arjun’s commitment to supporting the affected family underscores his sense of responsibility amidst the controversy.
