Allu Arjun Launches 100-Day Countdown for ‘Pushpa 2’ with New Poster

Fans of Allu Arjun have been given an exciting update as the star actor kicked off the 100-day countdown for his highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule by unveiling a new poster on his Instagram account. The poster, which features Allu Arjun’s character, Pushpa Raj, standing against a vivid red backdrop, quickly went viral and has heightened the anticipation for what is expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year.

The striking poster is emblazoned with the words “Witness the rule in 100 days,” signaling the countdown to the film’s release on December 6, 2024. Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind the film, also shared the poster across their social media platforms, captioning it, “100 Days to go for #Pushpa2TheRule. Get ready for an ICONIC box office experience. THE RULE IN CINEMAS on 6th DEC 2024.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule will see Allu Arjun reprising his role as the fearless and defiant Pushpa Raj, a character that earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor for the first installment, Pushpa: The Rise. The film, which will also feature Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, continues the story of power struggles and the illegal red sandalwood trade in the dense forests of Andhra Pradesh.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, Pushpa: The Rise captivated audiences with its gripping storyline, intense action sequences, and chart-topping music. The film’s success set a high bar for the sequel, and the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure Pushpa 2 surpasses expectations.

The film was originally slated for an August release this year, but the production team announced in June that the release date had been moved to December 6, 2024, due to the need for additional shooting and post-production work. The makers issued a statement explaining the decision, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a high-quality cinematic experience.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films. Following the immense success of Pushpa: The Rise, our responsibility to deliver excellence has increased significantly. We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024. This decision is made in the best interests of the film, the audience, and all stakeholders. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience on the big screen without compromising quality,” the note read.

The filmmakers also expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming response to teasers and songs from the film, assuring fans that Pushpa 2 will deliver an experience that surpasses its predecessor. “The overwhelming response to our teasers and songs across all languages has been heartening, and we promise to deliver a film that you will truly love. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the audiences and our partners worldwide for their unwavering support. The media and film industries have also been incredibly supportive. Pushpa 2: The Rule will now be released worldwide on December 6th, 2024. We are committed to giving you the best, and you will see only the best in cinemas,” they concluded.

With the 100-day countdown now officially underway, excitement is building for what promises to be an “iconic box office experience” as Pushpa 2: The Rule edges closer to its global release.
