Allu Arjun Meets Injured Child In Hospital Following Sandhya Theatre Incident

January 7, 2025: Actor Allu Arjun made a heartfelt visit to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad, to meet Sri Teja, the child who was critically injured during the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, 2024.

The incident occurred during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ when a large crowd gathered outside the theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. The situation turned chaotic when the actor waved to fans from the sunroof of his car. In the ensuing commotion, Revathi, a woman in the crowd, tragically lost her life, and her son Sri Teja suffered severe injuries. For weeks, Sri Teja was on a ventilator, and it wasn’t until December 24, 2024, that there were positive signs of recovery, with the child reportedly responding after being unresponsive for 20 days.

Allu Arjun, who has been actively involved in legal proceedings related to the incident, expressed deep concern for the well-being of the child. The actor’s visit was a show of support to the family, and Sri Teja’s father, Bhaskar, expressed gratitude for the actor’s continued efforts. He shared, “The child responded after 20 days. He is responding today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government are supporting us.”

Alongside his hospital visit, Allu Arjun has been fulfilling his legal obligations. On January 5, 2025, he appeared at the Chikkadpally Police Station as part of the bail process, complying with the conditions set by the Nampally Court. Earlier, on January 4, Allu Arjun appeared before the Metropolitan Criminal Court in Nampally, where he submitted the required sureties and executed a bond of Rs 50,000. His arrival at the court was marked by heightened security due to the presence of media and police personnel.

Allu Arjun’s legal proceedings stem from the tragic events at Sandhya Theatre, where the actor’s attempt to acknowledge fans from his car inadvertently led to a fatal crowd crush. His lawyer, Ashok Reddy, clarified that the court had granted Allu Arjun bail on the grounds that the incident was not deemed “culpable homicide not amounting to murder”. He added that conditions had been imposed, including the requirement for the actor to attend the police station.

Reddy also mentioned that a quash petition is pending before the Telangana High Court, with the next hearing scheduled for January 21, 2025.

Despite the tragedy, Allu Arjun has shown continued support for the victim’s family. Allu Aravind, the actor’s father and a prominent film producer, announced a Rs 2 crore contribution to help the family of Revathi, who lost her life in the incident.

The incident has drawn significant media attention and sparked public conversations about crowd management during high-profile events. As the legal process continues, Allu Arjun’s visit to Sri Teja and his ongoing efforts to assist the affected family highlight his commitment to supporting those impacted by the tragic event.
