Allu Arjun Thanks Andhra Pradesh Govt For Approving 'Pushpa 2: The Rule''s Ticket Hike
December 3, 2024: Actor Allu Arjun has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Andhra Pradesh government following the announcement of a ticket price hike for Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Allu Arjun thanked the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for their support, emphasizing their commitment to the growth and prosperity of the Telugu film industry.
Taking to X, he wrote, “I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for approving the ticket hike. This progressive decision demonstrates your steadfast commitment to the growth and prosperity of the Telugu film industry. A special note of thanks to the Hon’ble @AndhraPradeshCM, Shri @ncbn garu, for his vision and unwavering encouragement to the industry. I also express my sincere thanks to the Hon’ble @APDeputyCMO, Shri @PawanKalyan garu, for his invaluable support in empowering the film industry.”
The ticket price hike will apply specifically to Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The decision is seen as a recognition of the film’s expected commercial success and its significant contribution to the Telugu film industry.
The trailer for Pushpa 2: The Rule was released earlier this month, giving fans a glimpse of the intense action, drama, and thrilling sequences that the film promises. In the sequel, Allu Arjun reprises his role as Pushpa Raj, the red sandalwood smuggler, while Rashmika Mandanna returns as his love interest, Srivalli. The trailer also introduces Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist, Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, and teases a major face-off between Pushpa and his rival. Allu Arjun’s character, fearless and determined, proudly declares that he is now an “international player” rather than a national one, setting the stage for high-stakes drama.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. The film sees the return of the core cast, including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. The first part of Pushpa was a massive hit, showcasing power struggles and smuggling operations in the red sandalwood trade, with Allu Arjun’s performance earning him a National Film Award.
The film is set to hit theatres on December 5, 2024, and with the support from the Andhra Pradesh government and the buzz around the ticket price hike, expectations are sky-high for its success.
