Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ Smashes Hindi Box Office Records, Dethrones Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ With Unprecedented Opening!
December 6, 2024: Allu Arjun has rewritten box office history with Pushpa 2: The Rule, delivering the biggest Hindi opening ever recorded. The action-packed sequel has shattered records previously held by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, firmly establishing Allu Arjun as a pan-India sensation.
According to early estimates, Pushpa 2 earned an extraordinary ₹67–₹69 crore on its opening day in Hindi. These numbers are expected to climb further with late-night shows being added to meet overwhelming demand. The current figures already ensure several milestones for the film.
The Hindi box office throne, previously occupied by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (₹65.5 crore), has now been claimed by Pushpa 2. In comparison to its predecessor, which opened at ₹3.33 crore in Hindi, the sequel has recorded an astronomical 1912% increase in its opening day collection. To put it in perspective, the sequel’s day-one earnings already amount to nearly 63% of the lifetime earnings of Pushpa: The Rise in Hindi.
With such a massive opening, Pushpa 2: The Rule has solidified Allu Arjun’s position as a force to reckon with in Hindi-speaking markets. The film not only surpasses the benchmarks set by Bollywood blockbusters but also underscores the growing influence of South Indian cinema across India.
As Pushpa 2 dominates screens nationwide, it is expected to break additional records in the coming days, further challenging Bollywood’s dominance in the Hindi market.
