Amazon Unveils First Trailer for 'Red One
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for ‘Red One,’ an eagerly awaited holiday film directed by Jake Kasdan, renowned for the ‘Jumanji’ series. This action-filled movie features Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans on a daring mission to save Santa Claus.
The plot, initially kept secret, centers around Santa, code-named RED ONE, being kidnapped. The North Pole’s Head of Security (Johnson) teams up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Evans) on a worldwide adventure to rescue him and save Christmas.
‘Red One’ is set to premiere in US theaters on November 15 and will be released worldwide by Warner Bros Pictures later that month. The film, based on an original story by Hiram Garcia, President of Production at Seven Bucks Productions, offers a fresh take on the holiday genre. Amazon acquired the project after a competitive bidding war, turning it into a major cinematic event.
The screenplay, written by Chris Morgan, known for his work on the ‘Fast and Furious’ series, brings Garcia’s vision to life. The film is produced by Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar, Chris Morgan, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, and Dwayne Johnson, with Sky Salem Robinson as co-producer. ‘Red One’ reunites Kasdan, Johnson, and Seven Bucks Productions, following their successful collaboration on the ‘Jumanji’ films, which grossed $1.7 billion worldwide. The cast also includes Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Wesley Kimmel, and JK Simmons.
