Amitabh Bachchan Celebrates 19 Years of ‘Sarkar’

Amitabh Bachchan marked the 19th anniversary of his film ‘Sarkar’ by reminiscing about his time working with his son, Abhishek Bachchan. The legendary actor shared a tweet from Abhishek’s fan club and added his own reflections: “What a time we had during its making, Abhishek .. and some of the stories on it we still share .. .. but brilliance in its execution and context .. so Ramu.”

‘Sarkar’, released on July 1, 2005, starred Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan alongside Kay Kay Menon and Katrina Kaif. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, the film remains a fan favorite.

Amitabh continues to receive praise for his recent role in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which grossed Rs 191.5 crore worldwide on its opening day. Directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani, the film blends mythology with sci-fi.

Abhishek Bachchan is set to star in a new film directed by Shoojit Sircar, releasing November 15. The untitled project, described by Sircar as a heartwarming story, was announced at Prime Video’s event in March.

Abhishek will also join the ‘Housefull’ franchise, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in its fifth installment.
