Fans express concern over actor’s safety amid heavy crowd
January 9, 2026: A video showing Amitabh Bachchan surrounded by a massive crowd inside a building has sparked concern among fans. Security personnel and police were seen struggling to clear a path as people gathered around the 83 year old actor. Social media users criticised the behaviour calling it overwhelming and urged fans to respect his age and personal space.
The incident comes ahead of the season opener where defending champions Majhi Mumbai will face Srinagar Ke Veer. Amitabh is the co owner of Majhi Mumbai along with Neeti Agarwal. The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5 pm and is expected to draw large crowds and celebrity attention.
Earlier in the day Amitabh was also spotted at Kalina airport in Mumbai with his team. He briefly interacted with someone before waving at paparazzi. On the work front he was last seen in the Tamil action drama Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth and other leading actors.
