Amitabh Bachchan Shares Nostalgic Moment with Cricket Legends
Mumbai, December 11: Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan recently took to social media to share a heartwarming memory from former cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar’s 50th birthday celebration.
Posting on his X account (formerly Twitter), Bachchan shared a series of photos featuring himself with cricketing legends Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, and Gundappa Viswanath. In the images, the megastar can be seen posing alongside the cricketing greats, exuding camaraderie and admiration.
“T 5221 – Such a humbling and honoured moment for me, to be wrapped in the same garland as the legendary GREATS of Cricket… Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Viswanath… I think it was the 50th birthday celebration of Sunil Gavaskar,” Amitabh captioned the post.
The nostalgia-filled post comes shortly after Amitabh Bachchan reacted to a video featuring actor Allu Arjun, who expressed his deep admiration for the Bollywood legend. In the clip, Allu Arjun described Amitabh as a major inspiration.
“I am inspired by Amitabh ji. He has a long span of career. I absolutely adore the megastar of our country because we have grown up watching his films. Even to this day, I think about how gracefully Amitabh ji continues to act. He inspires us to work with the same dedication,” Arjun said.
The legendary actor continues to maintain a prolific presence on the silver screen. His recent release Vettaiyan alongside Rajinikanth received acclaim, with Bachchan also sharing the screen with Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati.
Upcoming projects include the Hindi remake of The Intern, where he will star opposite Deepika Padukone. Earlier this year, the duo also appeared in Kalki 2898 AD, a futuristic post-apocalyptic film inspired by Hindu scriptures. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie also featured Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani.
From cherished memories with cricket legends to inspiring the next generation of actors like Allu Arjun, Amitabh Bachchan remains an enduring icon in both cinema and the cultural fabric of India. With his continued success on and off-screen, the megastar’s legacy grows even stronger.
