The 83-year-old megastar delivers an impromptu marathon performance of his classic hits; Grandson Agastya Nanda to grace the hot seat next to promote Ikkis.

December 31, 2025: In what is being hailed as the most emotional and energetic moment in the history of Indian television, Amitabh Bachchan capped off the season finale of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 17 with a staggering 32-minute non-stop singing performance.

The impromptu musical marathon began late Tuesday, December 30, 2025, following a poignant video montage (AV) that showcased the season’s most heart-wrenching and triumphant stories. Seeing the audience and contestants moved to tears, the “Shahenshah” took it upon himself to lift the spirits of the studio in a way only he can.

The Setlist: A Walk Down Memory Lane

At age 83, Mr. Bachchan displayed iron-clad stamina, singing continuously as the entire studio audience remained on their feet, clapping and singing along. His setlist included some of the most iconic tracks from his storied career:

  • “Hori Khele Raghuveera” (Baghban)
  • “Rang Barse Bheege Chunarwali” (Silsila)
  • “Chalat Musafir” (Teesri Kasam)
  • “Mere Angne Mein” (Laawaris)
  • Traditional Folk: A selection of UP and Bhojpuri traditional songs that had the crowd in a frenzy of celebration.

A Family Affair: Agastya Nanda Takes the Hot Seat

As the season draws to its ultimate close, the show will witness a rare family reunion. Amitabh’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, is set to appear in one of the final episodes to promote his highly anticipated war drama, Ikkis.

  • The Team: Agastya will be joined by director Sriram Raghavan and co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia.
  • Family Support: In a heartwarming gesture, Shweta Bachchan and Navya Naveli Nanda were spotted on the sets, cheering for Agastya from the audience.
  • The “Tricky” Question: Promos show Big B playfully putting his grandson on the spot by asking the ultimate question: “Who is your favorite—Nana (Amitabh) or Nani (Jaya)?”
