It’s official! The beloved Punjabi film ‘Saunkan Saunkne’ is getting a sequel, titled ‘Saunkan Saunkanay 2.’ Starring Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta, and Nimrat Khaira, the second installment recently began filming under the direction of Smeep Kang.

Producer Ravi Dubey, who is also Sargun’s husband, shared the exciting news on Instagram. Posting a picture of the clapperboard, he captioned it, “Saunkan Saunkanay 2 Filming begins .. Shukr Shukr Shukr.” This announcement has thrilled fans who eagerly anticipate the continuation of the beloved story.

The first film, released in 2022, narrated the story of Nirmal and Naseeb, a happily married couple desperate for a child after eight years of marriage. At the behest of her mother-in-law, Naseeb convinces Nirmal to marry her younger sister, Kirna, leading to a series of humorous and dramatic events.

The sequel, ‘Saunkan Saunkanay 2,’ promises to bring back the charm and entertainment of its predecessor while exploring new twists and turns in the storyline. Fans are eager to see what unfolds next in the lives of Nirmal, Naseeb, and Kirna.
