Ananya Panday Claps Back at Trolls Over ‘Fake Tan’ Remarks At Ba***ds of Bollywood Premiere

The actress claps back at social media users who criticized her tanned look at a recent premiere, which she says is a souvenir from her Maldives vacation.

September 19, 2025: Ananya Panday, a Bollywood actress, has spoken out against people who made fun of her tan at a recent movie launch. Panday, who just got back from a trip to the Maldives, went to the Mumbai premiere of The Ba*ds of Bollywood, where she was spotted with a quite different tan.

A video of the actress at the event, where she wore a white dress with decorations, rapidly went viral. Some others on social media started making fun of her looks, saying that the tan was “fake” and not even. “Fake tan gone wrong, at least do it evenly,” one user said. Another user asked, “What about the face?” Tananya Pandey.

Ananya responded by posting about the criticism on her Instagram Stories. She posted a video and jokingly said, “I’m a fan of the tan,” with a laughing emoji. Fans were eager to back her up. One said, “Love how she’s flaunting her tan,” and another said, “Girlyyy flaunt her tanning like it’s nothing, she’s a beauty for real.”

The actress has been posting about her trip to the Maldives on social media. She called it a “magical” trip including swimming with sea turtles, seeing dolphins, and watching the sun set.

Ananya Panday will next be seen in the movie Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, where she works with Kartik Aaryan again. The movie, which was directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is set to be out on December 31, 2025. Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta also play important parts in it.
