Ananya Panday's Thriller 'CTRL' Trailer Sparks Excitement, Watch Video
Ananya Panday is set to surprise her fans with another captivating performance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming thriller, CTRL.
The makers recently unveiled the intriguing trailer, which explores the dark side of our increasing dependence on technology.
The film, set to premiere on Netflix on October 4, features Ananya as Nella Awasthi and Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas, a couple who gain popularity through their online content but face turmoil when their relationship falls apart.
The trailer reveals that after the breakup, Nella hands over control of her life to a social media application named “CTRL,” leading to unexpected and dangerous consequences. Speaking about her character, Ananya said, “Nella is like any of us, caught in a world dominated by technology and social media. CTRL explores the fine line between our online presence and real life.”
Director Vikramaditya Motwane, known for his innovative storytelling, described the film as being told in a “screen life format,” using the technology we interact with daily to create a voyeuristic, immersive experience. Netflix’s Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh highlighted how the film questions whether technology really gives us control, while praising Ananya’s compelling performance that makes the film difficult to pause.
CTRL promises to be a cutting-edge thriller that delves into timely themes, combining suspense with a fresh storytelling approach.
