Ananya Recalls When She Accidentally Leaked Her & Suhana Khan’s Numbers

Ananya Panday, star of the new cyber-thriller CTRL, recently opened up about two embarrassing incidents where she accidentally leaked personal contact information online. In an interview with Netflix India, Ananya revealed that she had unintentionally shared both her own and Suhana Khan’s phone numbers on social media.

Recalling the first incident, Ananya shared, “I once leaked Suhana’s number by mistake. I was FaceTiming her, and when she didn’t pick up, I took a screenshot and posted it on Instagram. Her number was visible, and later, Suhana called me saying her number got hacked. I was shocked, but then realized I was the one who caused it.”

The second mishap occurred during a press conference. “I was in the middle of an interview when reporters asked for my number. I gave it to them, but the interview was being recorded and uploaded to YouTube. My number was leaked, and I had to change it,” Ananya explained.

Ananya also touched on the risks of online privacy and how these incidents made her more cautious. Her candid admissions come at a time when she’s starring in CTRL, a film that explores the dark side of technology and artificial intelligence.

Ananya Panday’s Acting Career

Ananya made her Bollywood debut with Student of the Year 2, and has since appeared in films such as Khaali Peeli, Gehraiyaan, Dream Girl 2, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan. She also recently made her OTT debut with Call Me Bae on Prime Video. The comedy-drama series, co-written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, was directed by Colin D’Cunha and features an ensemble cast including Muskkaan Jaferi, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Vir Das. The show is co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment.

Her Latest Release

Ananya’s latest project, CTRL, is a cyber-thriller that premiered on Netflix India on October 4. Co-starring Vihaan Samat, the film follows influencer couple Nella Awasthi (played by Ananya) and Joe Mascarenhas (Vihaan). After Joe betrays Nella, she turns to an Artificial Intelligence app to erase him from her life, but things spiral out of control when the app takes matters into its own hands. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL delves into the consequences of our reliance on technology in today’s digital age.
