Max’s Sex and the City sequel returns May 29 with complex romances, new characters, and a dash of chaos — including a rat infestation and steamy surprises.
Los Angeles, April 16: Carrie Bradshaw’s love life is officially “complicated” again as Max’s And Just Like That… returns with Season 3 on May 29, and the newly released trailer promises a rollercoaster of romance, heartbreak, and a few furry intruders.
Aidan (John Corbett) is back, but his reunion with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) isn’t without complications. Now divorced and devoted to raising his three sons in Virginia, Aidan has pulled back from the relationship after a terrifying incident involving his teenage son, who went joyriding under the influence. Carrie, ever the romantic, bought a new home in New York hoping Aidan and his boys would find comfort there — but fate, and fatherhood, seem to have other plans.
While Carrie flirts with a new neighbor, Aidan’s presence looms large, as scenes from the trailer show them playing happy family over breakfast. Whether it’s a dream, flashback, or a hopeful glimpse into the future, fans are left to speculate.
Meanwhile, rats have taken over Carrie’s lavish new brownstone, offering comic relief and a possible opportunity for her new pet cat to shine. Fashion meets pest control, and we’re here for it.
Elsewhere in the city:
- Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is smitten with a new work contact.
- Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker) finds herself professionally (and maybe emotionally) entangled with newcomer Mehcad Brooks.
- Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is stunned to discover her daughter Lily (Cathy Ang) in a passionate moment with a ballet dancer she had dismissed as “just a crush.”
- Seema (Sarita Choudhury) and Anthony (Mario Cantone) explore future possibilities and personal reinventions.
The teaser also features glimpses of Charlotte’s return to the club scene — Long Island iced teas in tow — and promises plenty of new entanglements and emotional growth across the board.
Created by Sex and the City alum Michael Patrick King, the show continues to evolve while holding on to the glamor and grit of its beloved roots. The Season 3 ensemble also stars Jonathan Cake, Niall Cunningham, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Logan Marshall-Green, Sebastiano Pigazzi, Alexa Swinton, and Dolly Wells.
And just like that, another chapter begins.
