Los Angeles, March 22 – Angelina Jolie is reportedly furious over her Oscar snub for the critically praised biopic Maria, and insiders claim she believes Brad Pitt orchestrated a behind-the-scenes smear campaign to sabotage her awards season. To make matters worse, the unexpected awards-season surge of Pamela Anderson has only deepened Jolie’s frustration.

Sources told RadarOnline that the Maleficent star is in disbelief over her exclusion from the 2025 Academy Award nominations, especially after early buzz suggested she was a frontrunner. The Venice Film Festival premiere had critics raving, and many predicted a third Oscar nod for Jolie. Instead, she was left out of the Oscars and SAG nominations, despite a Golden Globe nomination and Gotham Award win.
“Right from the first showing, there was talk she was going to win. To not even be nominated feels like a hit job,” an insider claimed. “She’s convinced Brad bad-mouthed her all over Hollywood.”
The ex-couple finalized their divorce in late December, but tensions seem far from over. Jolie allegedly believes Pitt manipulated industry insiders to sway awards sentiment in his favor and damage her credibility.
