“35 years ago, we had the audacity, the confidence, and the cool arrogance to call it ‘the most powerful film ever made.’ And to this day, Parinda continues to stand the test of time,” Kapoor wrote. He added, “Looking back, it still surprises me that we dared to put that on the poster and that audiences embraced it so wholeheartedly. Thank you for keeping Parinda alive in your hearts after all these years. Here’s to a legacy that remains timeless! #35yearsofParinda.”

Parinda, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, stars Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, and Madhuri Dixit. The film follows the story of two brothers, Kishen (Jackie Shroff) and Karan (Anil Kapoor), who are drawn into Mumbai’s underworld. Karan, who falls in love with Paro (Madhuri Dixit), tries to distance himself from his brother’s criminal lifestyle, while Kishen becomes entangled in the dark world of Anna (Nana Patekar), a notorious drug dealer.

Looking ahead, Anil Kapoor is gearing up for his next project, Subedaar, where he plays the role of Subedaar Arjun Maurya. The action-drama, directed by Suresh Triveni, follows Arjun Maurya as he navigates the challenges of civilian life and a strained relationship with his daughter, Shyama (played by Radhikka). Prime Video recently shared a first look at Kapoor’s character, with the caption, “From the frontlines to the home town – a fauji never backs down! #Subedaar, Now Filming!”

Subedaar is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni, and Anil Kapoor under Opening Image Films and Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network (AKFCN). The film promises to be a gripping tale of a veteran soldier battling enemies within his own community to protect his family and values.
