Anil Kapoor Pens Emotional Tribute To Late Mother Nirmal Kapoor, Bollywood Pays Respects

May 6, 2025: Veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor has paid an emotional tribute to his late mother, Nirmal Kapoor, who passed away at the age of 90 on May 2 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

Sharing a heartfelt note along with a series of cherished family photos on Instagram, Kapoor reflected on his mother’s lasting legacy. “The love pouring in from all walks of life has been overwhelming. I truly don’t have the words to express how deeply grateful we are,” he wrote, expressing his family’s gratitude to those who offered support during this difficult time.

Remembering his mother as a silent force of strength, Anil Kapoor wrote, “She touched so many lives, not just directly but through the people she nurtured, supported, and loved. She never stood in the spotlight but was the foundation that held our family together. A silent pillar, always smiling, always caring, always bringing warmth to those around her.”

He also highlighted her pivotal role in maintaining family unity. “She was the glue that kept our family close, from our children to our grandchildren, and even our extended family and friends. Her love reached far and wide, and it’s clear from the outpouring of messages that she made a lasting impact.”

Kapoor concluded his tribute by thanking the film fraternity and well-wishers. “A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your kind words, prayers, and love. We’re truly humbled and grateful.”

Nirmal Kapoor, mother to Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, and Boney Kapoor, was laid to rest at the Vile Parle Crematorium in Mumbai on May 3. Several celebrities from the film industry, including Rani Mukerji, Farhan Akhtar, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, and Karan Johar, attended the funeral to pay their final respects.
