The mythological film witnesses a huge jump in collections on its third Friday, cementing its place as the highest-grossing Indian animated film ever, despite tough competition from War 2 and Coolie.
August 16, 2025: The animated epic Mahavatar Narsimha, directed by Ashwin Kumar, has done better than anyone could have hoped. It is still doing well at the box office and is now a historic hit. After 21 days in theaters, the movie’s box office sales shot up on its third Friday. This isn’t something that happens very often in Bollywood.

On its 22nd day, which was also the 79th Independence Day, Sacnilk revealed the movie made roughly ₹7.25 crore. This incredible surge in earnings, which is claimed to be 178.85% greater than the day before, brings the total domestic collection to an unbelievable ₹195.60 crore.

Hombale Films made the movie, which has attained this milestone even though it had to compete with two blockbuster releases: Coolie by Rajinikanth and War 2 by Hrithik Roshan. The movie is doing well because people are talking about it, and on Friday, the Telugu and Hindi versions together had occupancy rates of over 75%.
The Hindi-dubbed version of Mahavatar Narsimha is now the 8th highest-grossing Hindi-dubbed movie of all time, and it has made more money than Prabhas’s Saaho. This is simply one more thing that makes it so awesome.
Because the movie was so popular, the producers have already announced a big plan for a seven-part movie universe. Kleem Productions made the first movie in the series, which is based on the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It has raised the bar for Indian animation by proving that stories based on mythology can be immensely popular.
