Haryanvi actress Anjali Raghav has officially withdrawn her complaint against Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh before the Haryana State Women’s Commission. The decision follows a public apology issued by Singh regarding a controversial stage incident that sparked widespread online backlash.
While Singh has been cleared from the personal complaint, the legal battle is far from over for his associates. The Commission confirmed that the case will proceed against members of the actor’s social media team for their alleged role in a targeted harassment campaign against Raghav.

Resolution Through Public Apology
On Thursday, April 2, Anjali Raghav appeared before Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia in Faridabad to provide her statement. Despite Singh’s absence from the hearing, Raghav informed the panel that she no longer wished to pursue charges against him.
The reconciliation comes after Singh took to social media to clarify his intentions. In a public statement, Singh noted:
“I had no wrong intention towards you, as we are artists. Even then, if you were hurt by my behaviour, then I apologise.”
Acknowledging the apology, the Commission has officially removed Pawan Singh’s name from the ongoing proceedings.
Allegations of Cyber Harassment Continue
The focus of the investigation has now shifted toward Singh’s digital team. Raghav has leveled serious allegations against three individuals—including Bhiwanshu and Akash—claiming they orchestrated a smear campaign following a promotional event in Lucknow.
According to Raghav’s testimony, the team allegedly:
- Circulated misleading photos and videos of her.
- Uploaded her private mobile number and photographs to pornographic websites.
- Caused her “severe mental distress” through coordinated online bullying.
The Commission has summoned the named individuals to respond to these claims. The next hearing is scheduled for April 6 in Panchkula, where all accused parties must appear in person.
Background: The Lucknow Incident
The controversy originated last year during a promotional event for the song Saiya Seva Kare. A video went viral showing Raghav appearing visibly uncomfortable when Singh placed his hand on her waist during a stage appearance.
The fallout was immediate; Raghav expressed her trauma on Instagram, stating she was “disturbed” and initially declared she would “not work in the Bhojpuri industry anymore.” While the personal rift between the two stars appears mended, the legal system is now pivoting to address the broader issue of digital safety and the conduct of celebrity PR teams.
