Ankita Lokhande Tributes Sushant on 'Pavitra Rishta' Anniversary
Ankita Lokhande, celebrated for her role as Archana in the beloved TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta,’ recently took to Instagram to honor the series’ 15th anniversary and her own journey in the entertainment industry. This show, which marked her acting debut, brought her nationwide fame and a deep connection with audiences.
In a heartfelt post, Ankita reminisced about her transformation into Archana and the enduring love she continues to receive for the role. She expressed her gratitude to Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms for giving her the significant opportunity early in her career.
A poignant part of her tribute was dedicated to her co-star, the late Sushant Singh Rajput, who portrayed Manav, her on-screen love interest. Ankita credited Sushant for mentoring her through her acting journey and shaping the show’s groundbreaking storytelling. She shared a series of pictures with Sushant, captioning it, “It’s not just 15 years of Archana, it’s also 15 years of Archana and Manav, a couple who personified love, marriage, understanding, and companionship.”
Ankita highlighted Sushant’s transition from television to Bollywood, underscoring his remarkable journey and the profound impact of his untimely passing in 2020 on the industry. Sushant, who gained fame with ‘Pavitra Rishta,’ starred in notable films like ‘Kai Po Che!’ and ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.’ His final film, ‘Dil Bechara,’ was released posthumously, paying tribute to his legacy.
Ankita, meanwhile, has embarked on a film career, showcasing her talent in supporting roles in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Baaghi 3.’ Her latest project is ‘Swantantrya Veer Savarkar,’ alongside Randeep Hooda.
