Sources told People that Burrell was “in great spirits” during the event on Monday night, describing her as “typical fun, outgoing Anne” who had “a blast” watching the show. “She was so great… and so happy,” one insider recalled.

According to the New York Police Department, Anne was found “unconscious and unresponsive” at her Brooklyn residence around 7:50 a.m. A 911 caller reported she had gone into “cardiac arrest” and was “dead on arrival,” as confirmed by the New York City Fire Department.

Though the exact cause of death is yet to be revealed, her passing has left her fans, friends, and colleagues shocked and heartbroken, especially those who saw her just the night before, seemingly healthy and full of life.
