June 18, 2025 | Celebrity chef and TV personality Anne Burrell spent her final night filled with laughter and light, attending an improv show at The Second City New York in Brooklyn — just hours before her sudden and tragic death at age 55.

According to the New York Police Department, Anne was found “unconscious and unresponsive” at her Brooklyn residence around 7:50 a.m. A 911 caller reported she had gone into “cardiac arrest” and was “dead on arrival,” as confirmed by the New York City Fire Department.
Though the exact cause of death is yet to be revealed, her passing has left her fans, friends, and colleagues shocked and heartbroken, especially those who saw her just the night before, seemingly healthy and full of life.
