Amazon MGM brought the heat to CinemaCon 2025 with the first teaser of Verity, a seductive and sinister adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling psychological thriller. Starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett, the film is set to hit theaters on May 15, 2026.

Described as a “gothic, psychosexual thriller,” Verity explores the blurred lines between fiction and reality. Hathaway plays Verity Crawford, a famous author left incapacitated after a devastating car crash. When her husband Jeremy (Hartnett) hires struggling writer Lowen (Johnson) to finish Verity’s unfinished book series, the young novelist uncovers a disturbing manuscript that suggests Verity may be more dangerous than anyone imagined.
