February 13, 2025: Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has made an exciting announcement regarding his 544th film, which will see him share the screen with the pan-India superstar Prabhas. Directed by the talented Hanu Raghavapudi, the yet-to-be-titled film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, a renowned production company in the Indian film industry.
Taking to Instagram, Kher shared a heartfelt post with a picture of him embracing Prabhas. Expressing his excitement about the collaboration, Kher wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT: Delighted to announce my 544th untitled film with the #Bahubali of #IndianCinema, the one and only @actorprabhas!” The actor also expressed his admiration for the team behind the film, praising the director Hanu Raghavapudi and cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee. “The film is directed by the very talented #HanuRaghavapudi! And produced by the wonderful team of @mythriofficial! My very dear friend and brilliant @sudeepchatterjee.isc is the #Dop! Kamaal ki kahaani hai aur kya chahiye life main doston!”
In addition to his film career, Anupam Kher recently received a significant honor for his philosophy of “Optimism” at the Illuminate Oncology Townhall 2.0, an event hosted by the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital to further oncology research and patient care. Nobel Prize-winning scientist Professor James Allison, who has made major contributions to cancer research, recognized Kher’s inspiring philosophy. Kher shared his joy on Instagram, posting, “MOST UNIQUE HONOUR FOR ME BY A NOBEL LAUREATE… I have been awarded for many reasons in the past, but last night I was felicitated for my philosophy of OPTIMISM!”
Furthermore, Anupam Kher’s acting institute, Actor Prepares, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Founded in 2005, the Mumbai-based school has trained several Bollywood celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Varun Dhawan. Kher reflected on the success of the school, saying in an interview, “I have done over 500 films. Some were great, some were average. But when I meet someone who tells me, ‘I was your student from the 2008 batch,’ I feel no award can be bigger than this.”
In his last role, Anupam Kher appeared in Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency,’ a film that chronicles the political turmoil during India’s Emergency period from 1975-77 under Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
