Anupam Kher Hails Kangana Ranaut's Election Win
Anupam Kher took to Instagram on Tuesday to congratulate Kangana Ranaut on her victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from Mandi.
Kher shared a heartfelt video featuring recent photos of Kangana, accompanied by an encouraging note.
“My dearest #Kangana! CONGRATULATIONS on your HUGE Victory! You are a #ROCKSTAR. Your journey is so so inspirational! So happy for you and the people of #Mandi and #HimachalPradesh. You have proved time and again that if one is focused and works hard, anything can happen,” Kher’s note read.
Earlier in the day, Kangana thanked her supporters on X, expressing her gratitude for their votes. She shared a picture collage featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi, captioned, “Heartfelt gratitude to all Mandi residents for this support, this love and trust. This victory is of all of you, this is the victory of faith in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan, this is the victory of the honour of Mandi.”
Kangana defeated Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh by a margin of 74,755 votes, securing 5,37,022 votes against Singh’s 4,62,267, according to the Election Commission of India. The Mandi constituency, traditionally a stronghold of the Virbhadra family, saw a significant shift with Kangana’s win. The seat was previously held by Pratibha Devi Singh, the widow of the late leader, who won it in a bye-election after the demise of BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma.
BJP maintained a strong lead across all four seats in Himachal Pradesh, where voting took place on June 1.
