March 13, 2025: Acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap recently shared his thoughts on John Abraham’s upcoming film The Diplomat, set to release on March 14, 2025. Kashyap, who previously worked with John in the 2007 cult film No Smoking, praised the actor’s nuanced performance and the film’s engaging narrative.

Speaking to The Hindu, Kashyap shared:
🔹 “I really liked The Diplomat. I told John, ‘After a long time, I am seeing you being a very good actor.’
🔹 “He is not doing unnecessary action or herogiri in the film. He is solely playing a character.”
🔹 “Shivam Nair has made a really engaging film.”
Kashyap also recalled his conversation with John about a possible sequel to No Smoking:
🗣️ “I was congratulating John, and he again said, ‘Yaar, let’s do No Smoking 2.’ He really means it, but I want a unique subject before diving into that zone.”
