Packed with guns, horses, emotions, and high-voltage drama, Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film ‘Nishaanchi’ introduces Balasaheb Thackeray’s grandson Aaishvary Thackeray in his acting debut.
Mumbai’s filmy buzz just got louder as acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap dropped the much-awaited teaser of his next directorial, Nishaanchi. The 1-minute 30-second glimpse serves up a heady mix of action, drama, and Bollywood flair, setting the tone for what promises to be a desi entertainer. Opening with the playful yet nostalgic line, “Bina Bollywood, kauno zindagi kaise jiye?” (How can one live without Bollywood?), the teaser quickly draws audiences into a whirlwind of larger-than-life characters, high-octane stunts, and raw emotions.
Nishaanchi marks a milestone moment for Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of the late Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray, as he steps into the limelight for his acting debut—and in not just one, but two roles. Playing brothers Babloo and Dabloo, Aaishvary takes on contrasting personalities, offering a challenging start to his cinematic journey.
The teaser, shared by Kashyap, is a blend of rustic masala and modern cinematic flair. Captioning the video, the filmmaker teased fans with:
“Tayyari kar di hai! Emosan ka tadka, actsan ka dhamaka, aur gulel, katta, gaadi, ghoda toh hai hi bhaiya” (Preparations are done! A perfect mix of emotions, explosive action, and of course, a slingshot, gun, car, and horse are all here, my friend).
Alongside Aaishvary, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and veteran powerhouse Kumud Mishra—all set to play pivotal roles in the drama.
Backed by Amazon MGM Studios, Nishaanchi is produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the Jar Pictures banner, in association with Flip Films. The teaser is already sparking curiosity with its promise of a gritty storyline, layered performances, and Kashyap’s signature raw storytelling.
Audiences won’t have to wait long—the film is set to hit cinemas on September 19, marking a significant date for both Kashyap’s filmography and Aaishvary’s acting career.
