Anushka Shetty's 'Ghaati' Set To Hit Big Screens Worldwide In April 2025
December 15, 2024: The much-anticipated film Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty, has finally set its release date: April 18, 2025. The film will have a worldwide release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The announcement was made by the makers through an intense poster shared on X (formerly Twitter), which included the tagline, “The Queen, at her best, will reign at the box office.”
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati promises to showcase Anushka Shetty in a completely new avatar. The film marks her second collaboration with Krish, after their successful 2010 project Vedam. The first-look poster of Anushka from Ghaati was released earlier, showing her in a dramatic pose, smoking a pipe, with the tagline “Victim, criminal, legend”. This created significant buzz, especially as it was shared on Anushka’s birthday in November, along with a glimpse of the character’s intense persona.
Apart from Ghaati, Anushka Shetty is also preparing for her Malayalam debut in Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, directed by Rojin Thomas. This film will see her in the role of Nila, a weaver, and it features Jayasurya Jayan in the lead role. The makers of Kathanar also released a teaser introducing Anushka’s character, sparking excitement for her grand entry into Malayalam cinema. This film also features Prabhu Deva and Vineeth in significant roles.
With Ghaati and Kathanar on the horizon, 2025 looks set to be a monumental year for Anushka Shetty, as she embraces two very distinct, yet equally exciting, roles.
