Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan lost his cool at the Kaal Trighori trailer launch when a reporter diverted the conversation to his brother Salman Khan, urging the media to focus on his professional work and not his family name.
November 7, 2025: Filmmaker and actor Arbaaz Khan had a moment of frustration at the trailer launch event for his upcoming film, Kaal Trighori, on Thursday, when a reporter repeatedly steered the conversation away from the project and towards his superstar brother, Salman Khan.
Visibly irked by the continuous focus on his family, Arbaaz firmly asserted that his professional event should prioritize his work and not unnecessary mentions of the ‘Khan family’ name.
The Heated Exchange
The tension began when a reporter asked a question about support within the industry, insisting on referencing Salman Khan’s helpful nature and the family’s reputation for backing others.
Arbaaz Khan’s retort: “Salman Khan, Khan family ka naam dalna zarori hai? This question could have been asked without mentioning his name… You could have just asked about your support for [director] Nitin ji.”
,
Arbaaz, who noted he had known the journalist for a long time, accused him of purposefully asking “weird questions” (ulte sawal).
When the reporter attempted to justify his line of questioning by saying, “Hum sab Salman ke kisse jaante hain” (We all know the stories associated with Salman), Arbaaz cut him off directly.
Arbaaz Khan: “Toh usko repeat kyun karna… Chodh de na abhi woh.. Yeh movie ke baare mein baat kar… Jab Salman Khan ki movie ke interview ke liye jayega na tab yeh baat karna (If you already know them, why do you keep asking about them? Leave that and talk about this film. When you go for Salman’s interview, you can ask him all those questions).”
Collaboration is Universal, Says Arbaaz
The actor then used the opportunity to emphasize that mutual support is a common value in the industry and not a trait unique to his family.
“Everybody who is part of the film industry supports each other. It is not a unique quality in one actor or one family,” Arbaaz stated. He concluded that filmmaking is fundamentally a “collaborative process,” requiring support from all corners, not just his well-known relatives.
Arbaaz Khan’s upcoming film, the horror-thriller Kaal Trighori, directed by Nitin Vaidya, is set for a theatrical release on November 14, 2025.
