Arijit Singh Cancels Chennai Concert As Mark of Respect For Pahalgam Attack Victims

April 25, 2025: Singer Arijit Singh has announced the cancellation of his upcoming concert in Chennai, scheduled for April 27, following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack, which occurred on April 22 at Baisaran meadow, left 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen dead, and several others injured.

In a heartfelt gesture, Arijit Singh expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. The cancellation announcement was made via a post on his Instagram Stories, where he re-shared a note from the event organizers. The note stated, “In light of the recent and tragic events, the organisers, along with the artist, have collectively made the decision to cancel the upcoming show scheduled to happen in Chennai this Sunday, April 27th.”

Fans who had already purchased tickets for the concert were assured that full refunds would be automatically processed back to their original mode of payment.

The Pahalgam attack, which has shocked the nation, has led to widespread condemnation from various quarters, with several Bollywood celebrities offering their condolences. High-profile figures such as Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor have expressed their sorrow and anger at the tragic incident.

Additionally, music composer Anirudh Ravichander also took to social media to announce the postponement of ticket sales for his Hukum Tour in Bengaluru, citing the national situation and the tragic events in Pahalgam.
