Arjun Rampal Injured in Dramatic Netflix Event Entrance, Internet Dubs Him 'Keanu Reeves Lite'
February 4, 2025: Actor Arjun Rampal turned heads at the Next On Netflix event in Mumbai on Monday but not without a bit of drama. While promoting the upcoming second season of Rana Naidu, the actor sustained injuries as he made a grand entrance through a glass pane.
In a video shared by Instagram user Cin-A-Mates, Arjun was seen standing behind a glass wall, preparing to step on stage. As part of a dramatic reveal, he kicked and punched through the glass, which shattered and fell on him. Although the stunt went as planned, it left Arjun bleeding from his fingers. Host Maniesh Paul later pointed out his injury, but Arjun, dressed in a black kurta-pyjama with a stole, smiled through the pain.
Social media erupted with reactions to the incident. Some fans humorously compared him to Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, calling him “Keanu Reeves lite.” Others referenced Bollywood, with comments like “Ra-One mode activated” and “Tried to copy an Akshay Kumar-style entrance.” Another fan quipped, “The glass was hurt, not him,” while some expressed nostalgia, calling him a “rockstar” and lamenting that “today’s kids won’t recognize him.”
Arjun will appear in the second season of Netflix’s Rana Naidu, a show that also stars Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh in lead roles. The series is an official adaptation of the American drama Ray Donovan and focuses on Rana Naidu, the go-to problem solver for Bollywood, and his complex relationship with his estranged father, Naga.

At the Netflix slate announcement for 2025, Rana Daggubati shared that while the first season was intense, the second season promises to be even “messier and bloodier.” The storyline sees Rana taking on one last job to secure his family’s future, only to be dragged back into conflicts with loved ones and a dangerous figure from his past.
The show also stars Surveen Chawla and Kriti Kharbanda, with creator Karan Anshuman hinting that the upcoming season delves deeper into the characters beyond the father-son dynamic.
